The Princeton Review has ranked the University of Tampa’s entrepreneurship program as the 19th best program for graduate programs and the 31st best program nationally for undergraduate programs.
The Princeton Review has ranked the University of Tampa’s entrepreneurship program as the 19th best program for graduate programs and the 31st best program nationally for undergraduate programs.
The University also clinched the 3rd and 4th spots in the South for its graduate and undergraduate programs, respectively.
Rebecca White, the James W. Walter Distinguished Chair of Entrepreneurship, said the ranking exemplifies the program’s outstanding faculty and curriculum.
“These rankings underscore our commitment to nurturing innovative minds and fostering entrepreneurial excellence,” White said. “We don’t just teach entrepreneurship; we cultivate success stories.” White recently received the prestigious Legacy Award from the Global Consortium of Entrepreneurship Centers (GCEC).
The undergraduate entrepreneurship major at ū컨ampa prepares students for the complexities of planning, launching and leading a new business. The program’s curriculum emphasizes creativity and innovation, new venture planning, entrepreneurial finance, and sustainable business growth. Students engage in real-world applications like developing feasibility studies and business plans, which are critiqued by Tampa Bay entrepreneurs and forwarded to national competitions.
The M.S. in Entrepreneurship provides a cutting-edge curriculum covering various aspects of entrepreneurial success. From planning and finance to marketing and legal considerations, the program equips students with the essential skills to launch new ventures.
Both programs are housed within the Sykes College of Business, closely linked to the Lowth Entrepreneurship Center. The center, awarded the NASDAQ Center of Entrepreneurial Excellence from GCEC in 2017, offers comprehensive services and experiential learning
programs like the Spartan Incubator and Accelerator, where students gain invaluable hands-on experience, benefiting from a customized, experiential learning approach.
The Lowth Center also houses the global headquarters of the Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization, the preeminent organization worldwide for student entrepreneurs at the collegiate level.
