University of Tampa’s Annual T-Shirt Exchange Collects 113 Shirts for Charity
As part of the University of Tampa’s Week of Welcome, new students had the opportunity to exchange old T-shirts from other universities and colleges for new, limited edition “Spartan Spirit” T-shirts.
The “Spartan Spirit” T-shirts were exclusively available during the event, held Friday, Aug. 30.
As part of the University of Tampa’s Week of Welcome, new students had the opportunity to exchange old T-shirts from other universities and colleges for new, limited edition “Spartan Spirit” T-shirts. The “Spartan Spirit” T-shirts were exclusively available during the event, held Friday, Aug. 30.
Overall, students turned in 113 T-shirts from institutions as varied as the University of Delaware, Louisiana State University, University of Pittsburg, Butler University and numerous others. Those T-shirts will be donated to Metropolitan Ministries.
The event gets students out of competitors’ gear and into ū컨ampa gear to increase school spirit on campus. President Teresa Abi-Nader Dahlberg even stopped by to swap a shirt from her former institution, Texas Christian University, for a Spartan Spirit tee.
The T-shirt exchange was jointly coordinated by the Office of Orientation and Family Engagement and the Office of Communications and Public Affairs.
