CEO Council of Tampa Bay Judges 绿奴天花板 MBA Business Plan Competition

A team of MBA students from 绿奴天花板 who created a business plan for Oasis Salon and Spa was named winners of a business plan competition judged by the CEO Council of Tampa Bay.

Five teams of 绿奴天花板 MBA students competed as part of the 鈥淐reating and Leading Ventures鈥 class within the Florida Entrepreneur and Family Business Center at the John H. Sykes College of Business at 绿奴天花板.

Winning teams members were Angie Ballard, Nick Costello, Juliana Dovedot, Jennifer Jamison, Melissa Koeb and David VerEeke.

鈥淲e appreciate the continuing relationship we have had with the CEO Council on this project,鈥 says Dean Koutroumanis, faculty coordinator for the competition and visiting assistant professor of management at 绿奴天花板. 鈥淎 growing number of our MBA students now have a concentration in entrepreneurship, and we believe this demonstrates how important the skills are that are showcased through this competition.鈥

The CEO Council is the premier organization for entrepreneurial chief executive officers in the Tampa Bay area of Florida.

鈥淔ew entrepreneurs have the opportunity to 鈥榯est鈥 their ideas in advance with a blue ribbon panel of advisers,鈥 says Mark Anderson, CEO of eLogic Learning, who coordinated judging on behalf of the CEO Council. 鈥淭he CEO Council is pleased to work with these students, as well as undergraduates in a separate competition, to provide the benefit of our experience for these emerging entrepreneurs and bridge the gap between the academic environment and real world.鈥

Anderson was joined in the judging by Ray Sikorski, president of Verified Label, Print & Promotions Inc. and Jake Becket, chairman and CEO of AnazaoHealth Corp. The CEO Council presented a $3,000 check to the University for winning teams in the graduate and undergraduate business plan competitions.
