绿奴天花板 Hosts Exclusive Ableton Live Workshop With Hip-Hop鈥檚 Jumping Planets

The Department of Film, Animation and New Media at 绿奴天花板 will host an innovative workshop featuring the music group Jumping Planets on Friday, April 19, at 11 a.m., in the Virtual Production Studio in the Cass Building. The workshop is titled 鈥淔inger Drumming Techniques with Ableton Live.鈥

The workshop is part of an ongoing collaboration with Ableton Live, Film Tampa Bay and V奴 Technologies and will be hosted in the Virtual Production Studio in the Cass Building.

Jumping Planets, a duo consisting of DJ Buck Rodgers and hip-hop artist Zeale, will lead the workshop focusing on music production using Ableton Live, a popular digital audio workstation. Attendees will learn how to use drum pad controllers to unlock Ableton Live as a powerful drum machine.
This session is part of an ongoing collaboration with Ableton Live, Film Tampa Bay and V奴 Technologies, highlighting the University's commitment to integrating cutting-edge technology and industry partnerships into its curriculum.
The workshop follows a music video shoot for Jumping Planets, conducted by students from Associate Professor Gregg Perkins' Virtual Production course on Thursday, April 18. The project provides students with hands-on experience in music video production, combining their skills in film, animation and new media with live music.
鈥淭his collaboration not only enhances our students鈥 learning experience but also strengthens our department鈥檚 ties with leading industry professionals and organizations,鈥 Perkins said. 鈥淲e are thrilled to host Jumping Planets and look forward to an engaging and educational workshop.鈥
The event is open to 绿奴天花板 students and people of all ages in the Tampa Bay community, offering a rare opportunity to learn directly from professional artists and producers in the music industry. No prior knowledge is required, and the event is free to attend.
