Allied Health
Bachelors of Science in allied health is for students who wish to pursue graduate or professional training in allied health fields such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, chiropractic or physician's assistant are encouraged to enroll in this program.
Athletic TrainingÌý
A Bachelor of Science degree prepares students for professional positions in athletic training. This program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).
Human Performance
This program features two Bachelor of Science tracks:
Ìý- This concentration prepares students for careers in corporate and/or community fitness.
- Ìý- This concentration prepares students for the pursuit of a professional career as an exercise physiologist or strength and conditioning specialist or to be equipped with the skills and competencies necessary to pursue graduate study in human performance.
Public HealthÌý
The Bachelor of Science degree program is designed for students primarily interested in the improvement of health and prevention of disease and disability.
Minors
The minor in recreation prepares students for recreation leadership positions in public government programs, voluntary agencies, industry, hospitals, churches and more. It does not lead to professional teacher certification.
A general course of study that is an alternative to the major.
Graduate
Exercise and Nutrition Science
The Master of Science program prepares students to work in government, business, the sports industry and in education as practitioners on professional interdisciplinary teams. The program is for students seeking a terminal degree as well as for those seeking a strong foundation for further applied positions, study and research.
