In addition to assignments, exams and projects routinely assessed in individual courses, a key component of the assurance of learning process for MIS majors is the Information Systems Analyst (ISA) Certification Exam. Students take this certification exam during the capstone course, ITM 419. Students who qualify on the exam may, after completion of their MIS degree, apply for their ISA certification through the Institute for Certified Computing Professionals. Detailed exam results also provide faculty valuable feedback that is used in the assurance of learning process for continuous program improvement. Graduates and employers are also surveyed periodically to assess that program educational objectives are met.
