Overview

ÂÌÅ«Ì컨°å works together with the University of South Florida (USF), U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps to provide opportunities for students to become Navy and Marine Corps officers. The program provides valuable leadership experience not found in the classroom.

The mission of the Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC) is to develop midshipmen mentally, morally and physically. The program teaches the highest ideals of duty, honor and loyalty and prepares students to become naval officers with the highest responsibilities of command, citizenship and government.

The NROTC unit offers three programs: 1) the Navy-Marine Corps Scholarship Program (four-, three-, or two-year), 2) the NROTC College Program and 3) for enlisted service members, the Seaman-to-Admiral 21 program or the Marine Enlisted Commissioning Education Program.

Upon program completion, graduates become naval officers who serve in aviation squadrons, on surface ships or on nuclear-powered submarines at Navy installations around the world or in one of numerous subspecialties in the Marine Corps.
