ÂÌÅ«Ì컨°å undergraduate and graduate students, both part-time or full-time, receive a free annual membership to use the Fitness and Recreation Center. ÂÌÅ«Ì컨°å students are required to bring a valid Spartan ID card with them each time they visit the facility.

ÂÌÅ«Ì컨°å faculty or staff can purchase an annual membership to the Fitness and Recreation Center for $100. Affiliate, or contracted University employees, can purchase an annual membership for $250. You can register for your membership by visiting the front desk of the Fitness and Recreation Center with your valid Spartan ID card. Please note: payment is ONLY accepted in the form of cash or check.
Anyone with a membership is able to bring up to three guests, aged 16 or above, per visit into the facility with them. A day guest pass is $10 and can be paid for in the form of cash or check. The host member must be present in the facility with the guests, and the guests must adhere by all policies and procedures of the facility.

Student memberships will remain active as long as you are enrolled in ÂÌÅ«Ì컨°å courses. ÂÌÅ«Ì컨°å faculty and staff memberships are sold on an annual basis. Therefore, membership is active for 365 days from the date of purchase.

No. At this time, the Campus Recreation staff is unable to predict facility usage with the current ÂÌÅ«Ì컨°å campus community. We must evaluate staffing models, equipment usage and class participation and also take into account parking on our growing campus. Yes, there is a dress code. All participants are required to wear athletic attire (no buttons, zippers or hardware that might damage equipment) and close-toed athletic shoes. Tops and bottoms are required at all times.

All Olympic lifting must be performed on the lifting platforms. Please use caution and be mindful of others. Keep in mind dropping of weights from above the knee is prohibited.

It is University policy that all students on campus have ÂÌÅ«Ì컨°å identification on them at all times. This is also a way for us to keep track of the users and maintain safety of the fitness facility.

- A nationally recognized and accredited certification is required.
- Current University of Tampa students with necessary credentials are given first preference.
- One year previous experience in health and fitness as a group fitness instructor or degree seeking in exercise science preferred.
- Current certification in CPR is required.
- Ability to instruct at least two group fitness class per week.

The track is one-quarter mile around, taking four laps to complete one mile. Walkers should stay to the outside lanes and move in the direction of the track traffic. The track is open from dawn to dusk and operated by the Athletic Department. If it is ever found locked during those times, there is a card access point next to the bleachers that you can swipe your Spartan Card against for access. Please do not prop open the gate or allow others to enter the facility behind.
