The baccalaureate degree program in nursing, the master’s degree program in nursing,Ìýthe Doctor of Nursing Practice program and the post-graduate APRN certificate programs at ÂÌÅ«Ì컨°å are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education,Ìý.
How long will it take to complete the program?
The Adult-Gerontology Primary Care NP program can be completed in seven semesters and the Family Nurse Practitioner program can be completed in eight semesters of part-time study. Full-time study is not offered.ÌýCourse SequencingÌýÌý

Can I continue to work while I pursue my MSN degree?Ìý
The MSN program is a rigorous program. Therefore, the decision to work while pursuing a graduate degree is an individual decision.ÌýFaculty advisors can discuss your unique situation and make recommendations for your success.
How much time should I set aside for studying?
For every one credit hour of coursework, three hours of study time is a minimum recommendation. Study time varies on an individual basisÌý
How many days should students expect to attend class?
Students who follow the recommended course can plan to attend class one day a week. Practicum rotations begin in the second year and require an additional two-three days per week, typically Monday-Friday.ÌýÌýÌý
How are students placed for practicum rotations?
All students are placed for practicum rotations. Students may find their own preceptor for specialty hours.
How many practicum rotations are there?
For adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioner concentration there are three practicum rotations of 192 hours each. For family nurse practitioner concentration there are four practicum rotations of 192 hours each.
